Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of wearemolohq.com and the Molo application (together, the "Service") operated by Molo Ltd ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") (82 King Street, Floor 3, Manchester M2 3AE, United Kingdom). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms in full.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer-protection law. Where there is any conflict between these Terms and your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
2. What Molo Does
Molo reads the contents of emails and document attachments that you forward to our service, extracts dates, deadlines, and action items from school and clinic notices, and delivers those events to the family calendar you have connected to your account. You are the one choosing which notices to forward; Molo processes only what you send to it.
3. Use of the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create a Molo account.
- You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: extracting scheduling information from notices you have legitimately received.
- You agree not to forward notices containing personal data of third parties that you are not authorised to share for processing purposes.
- You agree not to interfere with the operation of the Service, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, or use the Service to transmit harmful or unlawful material.
- You may not copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by applicable law.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service and all its underlying technology are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by UK and international intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your family's scheduling purposes while these Terms remain in effect.
5. Your Content and Our Licence
You are responsible for any content you submit or forward to the Service, including ensuring you have the right to share that content with us for processing. You grant us a limited licence to use, store, and process the content you submit solely to provide and maintain the Molo service for you. We do not use your notice content to train machine-learning models or for any purpose beyond operating the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
Where you enter into a paid subscription with us as a consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Email [email protected] with a clear cancellation statement within 14 days of starting your paid plan. We will issue a pro-rata refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation. If you have explicitly requested the Service to begin during the cancellation period, any refund will be reduced proportionately for the service already delivered.
7. Disclaimers and Statutory Rights
The Service is provided "as is." While we aim for accurate extraction, notice extraction is an automated process and occasional errors or omissions may occur. You should verify critical dates independently before relying on them for important decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law. Your consumer statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including satisfactory quality and reasonable care and skill where applicable, are not affected by these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) GBP 100 or (b) the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim, except for liability that cannot be limited under mandatory UK law.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of written notice. On termination, the licence granted to you ends. Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales (sitting in Manchester, United Kingdom) have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service, subject to your right as a consumer residing elsewhere in the United Kingdom to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email and indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance.
